FAQ: Who We Are and What We're Up To
The Short Version
We're a small but mighty team of problem-solvers tackling agriculture's biggest challenges from our research hub (we call it "the shed") in Cambridge — but our focus is global, spanning continents and farming systems.
What We Do (And Don't Do)
What we're NOT: Another startup hunting for your wallet or promising to revolutionize farming with yet another app.
What we ARE: A multidisciplinary team with a refreshingly pure motive — we want to solve real problems so farmers can be financially secure and improve their quality of life. We're backed by a private agriculture company that's given us something rare: the freedom to operate outside typical corporate environments. Here, farmer success comes first, monetary wins come second.
Why We Do This
Our mission is beautifully simple: create solutions that actually help farmers prosper. We believe the best innovations happen when brilliant minds can focus on progress without the pressure of immediate returns. Yes, we hope to eventually benefit financially — but only if farmers are thriving first. It's old-school values meets new-school innovation.
Our Approach
We don't put all our eggs in one basket (pun absolutely intended). Whether the solution is physical, chemical, biological, or something we haven't thought of yet, we're interested. We're like Switzerland when it comes to solutions — completely neutral and open to all possibilities.
What We Want From You
Honestly? Not much. We're not here to sell you anything or ask for your life savings. We just want to learn, connect, and build a clearer picture of agriculture's future. Here's how you can help us help everyone:
The People We'd Love to Meet:
Farmers of all shapes and sizes - From small family operations to large-scale producers. Every farm has a story, and we want to hear them all.
Agricultural researchers doing cool stuff - The brilliant minds working on tomorrow's solutions today. If they're pushing boundaries, we want to know them.
Heritage and charitable farms - Places like National Trust properties or Blenheim Palace that blend tradition with innovation.
Anyone else doing interesting things in agriculture - If you know someone who makes you think "wow, that's clever," we probably want to meet them too.
The Bottom Line
We're here to listen, learn, and help figure out what farming will need to succeed in the years ahead. Think of us as your friendly neighborhood agricultural think tank — except we actually want to build things that work in the real world.
Got someone in mind? We'd love an introduction. No formal process, no complicated forms — just good old-fashioned human connection in service of better farming.
Questions? Curious? Just want to chat about the future of agriculture? We're all ears.
